- String or thick twine to tie the poles together.
- Scissors, tape measure and marker.
- Colorful decorations: ribbons, garlands, pompoms (optional).
- Sewing machine or needle and thread (optional if you want to hem the fabric).
Step 1: Preparing the frame
Set up the poles or bars in a cone shape. The lower ends should be evenly spaced to make the tent stable. Tie the upper ends of the poles tightly with string or twine. Wrap the string around a few times to make the structure stable, and tie a solid knot. This will be the base of the entire tipi structure.
Step 2: Trim the material
